Client Setup
FiXi was created for easy setup to communicate using your existing local network. If your system currently shares an internet connection and/or files and folders then you can share and operate FiXi data.
To change set the IP address of the server please follow the instructions below.
- Open FiXi client computer
- Right click fixi icon in the task bar
and select Open. - Within the new window select TOOLS > SETUP from toolbar
- Change Server IP Aaddress field to required value. Enter in the IP address of the main computer where you installed the FiXi “Server” version. To determine the server IP address please read this article.
- The Server Port is generally always 84 unless otherwise instructed by our technical support team.
- The database location must be the FiXi folder on your server computer. For example if you install FiXi on your Server in the location of C:\Program Files\Fixi then you must share the folder FiXi to allow all client computers access. (Generally \\192.168.0.1\FiXi)
Once you are complete, click on the save button. From now on, all systems running FiXi will reflect the same information no matter what computer you are accessing FiXi from within your network.
